We Love To Shoot guns.
Hi there! I’m James and a gun enthusiast. Living in the Ottawa Carleton area of Ontario
Canada. My significant other Sandra and I, enjoy the sport of target shooting. We Love to Shoot guns, I guess we don’t really fit the norm as we are not hunters just target shooters. I have often referred to myself as a “Lazy Hunter” in so much as i am willing to haul a piece of paper (the target) out of the bush but not a body, my gun is heavy enough. 🙂

A bit of a back story…
I was into pellet guns and really had no interest in going to actual firearms. I wanted to get a more powerful pellet gun which required a PAL due to its power. So I took the course and got my PAL. I was then planning to get a powerful 22 cal PCP pellet gun. Last fall I went to visit a friend of mine, I brought one of my pellet guns for my friend to try out. While there he brought out a couple of his guns, a .223 x bolt and a 300 Win Mag. Well I tried out the .223 and was impressed with the power and yet the small amount of kick. Then he handed me the 300 Win Mag , well now that was fun, popped a round right through a 1/2 inch piece of steel. And yes it has a kick.
Well that was the end of the plans to get a new pellet gun, I may get one later in the future. My first gun was the Remington 597, I figured a small good entry level gun. It was off to the range I went and proceeded to send a couple hundred rounds down range. As most of you, who have tried out a 22 after firing a 300 Win Mag realize … More Power is a must 🙂
Enter the quest for the gun that can do it all and yet not be too big or too small. Research took me to analyse a number of calibers. I spoke with a number of people. At the end of my search I ended up with the Browning X Bolt .243 Composite.
A great gun, accurate, perfectly balanced, powerful enough for deer and groundhogs. In my opinion the perfect all purpose gun.
WE LOVE TO SHOOT with this Browning X Bolt 243
And of course reloading was in the back of my mind the whole time. Not a shell was fired that I didn’t save my brass. Well the story begins and continues and this is it. 🙂 More to come via blogs and discussion. And We love to shoot guns is why we started this site.
Good luck on the new site
